Modern Brick Home

This modern brick home was built on a sloping block in a BAL-40 bushfire zone, creating some interesting challenges from the outset.

Split levels and carefully designed retaining walls allowed us to create a large, open living area on the ground floor, centred around a six-metre-high atrium that fills the home with natural light.

The design incorporates a curved internal wall and a series of angled wings, creating interesting shapes and spaces while helping to capture natural light throughout the home.

The result is a home that combines practical design with some creative architectural elements, making the most of both the challenging site and its natural surroundings.
