Contemporary Family Home in Blackheath
Built in 2021, this contemporary family home is nestled amongst tall eucalypts in a quiet Blackheath cul-de-sac.
With most elevations requiring a BAL-FZ rating and others achieving BAL-40, the site presented some significant bushfire construction challenges. Despite these requirements, we were able to create a sleek, modern home with clean lines, minimalist finishes and an abundance of natural light.
The home features double-glazed aluminium windows and a combination of James Hardie cladding, carefully installed to meet Flame Zone requirements.
It’s a great example of how thoughtful design and careful construction can work together to create a beautiful, comfortable home in a challenging Blue Mountains environment.
